Open a new Image 16 mil colors
I used Black back ground with white text.
Click on the A on the toolbar to open the text window.
Make sure the floating option is checked and type your text.
Click ok
Position text on your window. Do not deselect the text.
Hit the SHIFT+V keys on your keyboard to invert the selection.
