2. Using white as the foreground color, put text on it, trying to use a solid font. (I used Impact)
3. Keep it selected and add 100% random noise.
4. Now do blur more from the normal filters menu.
5. Go to color-->Histogram functions-->Equalize.
6. Now colorize it with a hue of 8 and a saturation of 255.
7. Now you need the fire starter filter in the Filter Factory E set.
Apply it with setting of 155 for heat of flames and 89 for size. You
can adjust this depending on whether you want a lighter or darker image.
8. Now use the smudge tool and go up and down across the letters to form
the fire effect. You now have fire lettering.
9. For an extra cool effect, deselect the text and use the magic wand
with settings of tolerance 1 and feather 20. Now switch to the paint
brushed and paint around the selected area in black with settings of
size 10, brush type normal, shape round, paper texture none. This looks
even better.
