Other Worlds

The i/us Filter Factory CD This effect requires the Visual Manipulation filter. The Visual Manipulation filters are part of the new Filter Factory CD available from i/us.com

otherworlds1 Open a new window, 200 x 200, black background.

1. Make a small star using yellow and white for the colors.

otherworlds2 2. Use select tool feather set to 0 (zero), to put a circle selection onto the window slightly over the star but not completely covering it.

3. Fill the circle with linear gradient, lighter color at top left, making sure to remove all traces of the "star" from within the circle. Use the orange (255,128,0) and red (255,0,0) combination the first time as the effect of the filter we will use later can vary with the colors and hues used. You can play around with it after you get the basic idea.
