Make your image the active window.
Press CTRL + C to copy the image and highlight the new window.
Press CTRL + L twice to paste the image into the new window twice.
Use the eye dropper to select one of the colors from the image.
(A lighter color will work best).
Open the Layers Control Palette.
Turn off Layers 1 & 2 and select the background layer. Using the Flood Fill tool fill the background layer with your selected color.
Select Layer 1.
Slide the Opacity slider down to 51.
Select Layer 2.
We're going to resize just this layer. Go to
Image | Resize | Percentage of Original, setting the
percentage to 90%.
Make sure the Resize all layers box is unchecked. Check Maintain Aspect Ratio
Click ok.
Finished!
You can continue this process to give a beveled affect to the image by
pasting the original image as yet another new layer (CTRL + L).
For the third layer, resize to 80%.
